School Visits

Each session can be tailored to YOUR event! We work brilliantly with tiny tots to adults and we can bring any theme to life. We regular work together in library festivals and schools reading weeks so we are used to working with a mix of ages and abilities including SEND. We are very flexible and accommodating. For example, we can do shorter sessions with KS1 or longer ones with older children.

Teachers often worry about their children being able to sit for 45 minutes but we have a unique hypnotic quality that even keeps the wriggliest of kids enthralled!

What happens on the day?

Once you’ve made a booking, we will arrange a timetable that will suit your school. We often do 5 x 45 mins session in a visit.

The sessions are a riot of laughter, learning and creativity.
Paul has the crowds bopping along to his witty, fast paced poetry whilst strumming away on his trusty ukulele. Meanwhile, Liz captivates the audience by drawing amazing pictures to match the poems being performed. You won’t know who to watch!

Paul creates poetry with the children based on any topic you might be covering in school like space, dinosaurs, traditional tales etc
Towards the end of the session, they hand out paper and pencils and everyone takes part in a draw-along with Liz. Don’t worry if you don’t think you can draw! Liz will show you lots of tips and tricks using bizarre shapes like potatoes and carrots. You’ll be amazed at the artwork that is produced especially by tiny infants and reluctant older pupils! Even Paul has a go.
Teachers get to display Liz’s work alongside their children’s masterpieces. It’s a unique way to brighten up your school corridors.

How far do you travel?

Over the years, we have separately visited huge international schools all over the world. We put as much energy into a little village school event as we do with a huge school in Hong Kong!

We will try and visit your school ANYWHERE! Paul travels from Retford and Liz from Darlington in the UK. We don’t mind travelling by car. If your event is hours away then we can discuss alternative arrangements and local hotels.

Also, you could get other schools in your area to have a visit around the same time so that expenses could be shared.
If your school is large then why not book us both for multiple days?
We are happy to discuss prices that work with your budget.
